Changes To Hall Hire

At the board meeting on the 7th April a decision was taken to change the charges for hall hire if it is to extend beyond 11pm.

Any booking confirmed and paid for before 7th April 2025 will be unaffected.
For any bookings still to be paid for after this date then the new charges will apply.
For any event that finishes at or before 11pm there is no change to the current charges.

If an event is to be booked for later than 11pm there is an additional charge to cover unsocial hours working of BDT staff.

The additional charge for this extra hour is £20, on top of the hire charge for the hour, and the whole of the extra charge will be paid to our staff for working unsocial hours.

We would prefer that all bookings finish at, or before, 11pm but accept that there may be exceptions eg New Year.

The BDT reserve the right to determine and end time for any event that uses the hall.

SKIPS

South Ayrshire Council has still to make a decision on if they are providing skips. As such we have decided to order skips for the village from Kings on a flexible timetable. We will inform you when we have the date confirmed.

SKIPS

There are no skips ordered for this year as yet. We are still waiting for South Ayrshire Council to give us the dates for when they are providing skips. Once they do this we will order skips for the other months.

Place Planning for Barrhill

Click here to download the children's questionnaire.

A lot of the questions are irrelevant to Barrhill as it is a generic South Ayrshire Council form but in order to be inclusive the children should be able to have their say.

For those of you who do not like working on a small mobile phone screen here is the link to the adult's online questionnaire:

The Autumn Newsletter is now available on the Newsletter page from the menu.

The Crosswater may not be ready to open but the BDT would like to offer the community an opportunity to see the work that has been completed over the past 4 years. As such we intend to hold an open day on Saturday 14th December from 2pm to 6pm.

The BDT will provide drinks and nibbles and guided tours around the Crosswater.

There is still a lot of work to be completed before it is ready to open but we should not lose sight of what has already been accomplished.
